Escalation process for Who' The Ref (WTR) issues
This document is for providing guidance on issues that may arise within GMS or WTR and assist the internal IT service desk (SCRUM) and GMS service desk with their internal processes.
The assigning of a referee to a match card was previously carried out within GMS MO v10. This functionality has now been upgraded and migrated to WTR (Who’s The Ref). This means that WTR use an API that goes into GMS in order to assign a referee/ match official.
WTR issues
Issues with WTR will only be raised by match officials as part of the Professional Game Match Officials (PGMO), National League Match Officials (NGMO/ National Panel of Referees in GMS) and the internal RFU staff Match officials team.
Match Officials and RFU staff can raise tickets via SCRUM (internal IT service desk) by selecting Technology along with description of the issue, steps they are taking and any relevant screenshots of steps and error messages. The service desk can then forward the issue to the emails below.

Any issues within GMS raised by RFU staff or Match officials that is relevant to the assignment of a referee or a referee’s ability to sign off a match card will need to go through the usual processes of being investigated and escalated to FSI if necessary by the GMS service desk. NOTE: This should only be relevant levels 1-4 for the men’s game and level 1 of the women’s game.
